Digital marketing professional scholarship by ITIDA & Udacity (Freelance)

Congratulations. Because since you are here now, so you certainly have the same interests and ideas that I have. Most probably it will change your life and help you make a decision that you are postponing or even can’t find the right path to start with.

First of all, let me introduce myself to you. I am an engineer in a telecommunications company, married, and a father of two children.

Obviously, life requirements are increasing day after day, and our dreams grow with time. Many people and I have dreams of quitting the traditional job or developing their skills to improve their life/income and achieve their dream of having their own business. However, not all people have the potential to initiate a business and take risks with huge cash

I discovered that to achieve my dream; I must develop new skills, and this should be the capital that I invest in besides my job until I reach the stage that this skill can be the basis of my future project to be a professional freelancer. Then I had a central question: What skill should I develop to achieve this?

 

During the covid19 pandemic, I started to realize how digital marketing and social media become more important than any other time. And how the whole world is actually heading for trade online in a vast manner and it is no longer luxury.  Large companies tend to depend entirely on electronic commerce as well.

I thought about how to be a part of this sphere, but I didn't know how to start, especially that courses are expensive and I won’t be able to manage time between the course and my job.

 

Until I saw an ad on Facebook about a scholarship offer by that the Egyptian Ministry of Communications in cooperation with UDACITY the well-known educational platform. Surprisingly that it is completely free with an official certificate. Plus studying online is not limited to a specific attendance time. This means I can study at any time that suits me with no interference with working time and from home as well, this was a problem for me in the past.

The most interesting thing is that they offer choices in several fields which are: web development, data analysis, and digital marketing. In each field there are 3 levels, starting from zero to hero, so you don't have to be a specialist to start. Besides the technical material that the course presents; there is a community where you can communicate with students & tutors if you need help.

The opportunity was ideal and offered everything I needed. I signed in two fields; digital marketing & Data Analysis. To achieve two goals: developing my skills in e-marketing as a freelance professional, and at the same time developing my data analysis skills for my main job.
